Erin Synk
Turning complex state policy, budget, and regulatory challenges into practical paths forward.
Erin brings a strategic, deeply client-focused approach to state government affairs, shaped by years of experience inside the Ohio House and across some of the state's most complex legislative, budget, regulatory, and economic development initiatives.
As Vice President of State Affairs, Erin leads client engagement across Ohio and supports multi-state strategies where policy, funding, and public-sector relationships intersect. She works closely with clients to understand their operations, priorities, and constraints, then builds a tailored strategy around the legislative process, agency environment, budget cycle, and stakeholders involved.
Before joining LNE Group, Erin served as a Policy Analyst in the Office of the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, where she worked on education, healthcare, consumer affairs, and the state budget. That experience gave her firsthand knowledge of how policy is developed, negotiated, funded, and implemented, and helped establish the relationships with legislators, staff, agency leaders, and local officials that continue to inform her work today.
Erin is particularly effective when a client faces a complicated problem without an obvious solution. Her instinct is to step back, understand the full landscape, and find a workable path to "yes." That may involve legislative advocacy, budget strategy, regulatory engagement, coalition-building, messaging, or identifying an entirely different funding or policy route.
Her work spans municipal taxation, land banking, workforce policy, infrastructure, research and development, economic development, and community services.
Erin earned a BFA with a minor in Business Management and Administration, from The Ohio State University and studied at the University of Limerick in Ireland. Outside the office, she is active in civic life in Columbus, serves on local committees and commissions, and enjoys long-distance bicycle touring and paddle boarding.
